Haner also appeared on the soundtracks to classic movies Which Way Is Up (1977) and Animal House (1978). Brian signed his first major label deal in 1980 and released the soft rock album Don’t Stop Now under the name of the Brian West Band. In the 90s and 2000s, while continuing to score movies and TV shows and work as a session musician. He released two CDs in the early 2000s and began a successful run as a stand-up comic, appearing on Comedy Central TV specials with notable comedians such as Jeff Dunham, Lisa Lampanelli, and Ralphie May. He has also written two books and has over 80 tracks distributed by SongCast.
We will feature two of those tracks here. First is the iconic and
side-splitting “Fistfight At The Wafflehouse,” the title track from Hamer’s 2010 release. The video for that track is comedy gold and stars Haner’s son and Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates. Brian has also recorded some session guitar parts for Avenged Sevenfold.
