What’s your first musical memory?

My first musical memory was when I was around 5 years old seeing my mother play the piano in the church. We had a piano in the home and me and my mother would play songs together, and I became part of the choir and was given two solo songs to sing every Sunday.  I would even win awards for singing competition’s at church and I would bring my awards to show the kids at school

What artist inspires you?

Honestly I like so many artist I can’t even remember all of the names. Now a day’s a good song inspires me not a particular artist anymore. But if I was to pick a current artist in my Genre it would have to be E-40 because he did it independently without the Major Label Backing.

What’s your latest track or album?

My Latest Track is a single on iTunes called “Revenge of the Dead Man” witch is a 4min rhyme of my anger and frustration with this music and my latest album is “Dead On” that I currently give away for free Download I feel these days people like things for free that Album you can find on social networks with a simple Google search of LIL MACC LOCO.

What song or album do you HATE?

The song that I hate would be “Zombie” by Brotha Lynch Hung, E-40, and Tech Nine. The Reason for the hate is Artist tend to be offensive and not care about the person listening to the music. I felt the the track was directed towards artist like me who get inspired by another artist or songs and they find being someone’s inspiration is a sign of disrespect so I don’t care for that song.

What’s a song or album everyone should be listening to right now?

For the people who miss the kind of Rap that was a  fixture in the 90’s Era would love The album out now Called “Orca” by C-Bo  My Favorite Track is 187 (Feat WC). These are two Artist that have been the west coast music scene for years C-Bo has been the Underground King since I could remember and WC was the same way before launching the group West side Connection with Ice Cube and Mack 10 to the heights probably that won’t be reached again by somebody coming from the streets, and there together on one track and I have it on repeat.

What profession would you choose if you couldn’t choose music?

If I couldn’t do music I probably would like to be a Custom Home Remodeler, from the front yard to the Back using my creativity to Create and inspire at the same time. There is something about it when somebody loves what it is you do it’s like a final stamp on a finished product.

Tell us more about your local scene.

The local scene is real competitive right now and Dead at the same time the promoters are into cashing in on the artist charging the artist for time slots or having them sale the tickets for the shows and not putting in the foot work to promote those shows the most they get is a Facebook post every so often they don’t get an event created, And the Artist are jockeying for position because there may be  a national artist on the ticket not all the time but everybody is fighting for that spot and amongst the commotions nothing is growing as a music community but the shows are there cause I see them every week.

As a performer, what would be your ‘perfect’ live experience?

For me I see it would be a huge crowd with my name in lights at an Outdoor Arena where I have the whole crowed engaged in one of my songs repeating part of my chorus with smoke and lights and its real electric. Getting the love and admiration from the crowd that would be perfect.

What aspect drew you to the particular genre of music that you now perform/write?

It was the first pioneers of Rap they made songs had a story and there vocabulary was amazing from the intro to the outro of the song when the birth of Rap came and as it grew from the Furious 5 talking about the roaches in the back room roaches in the front to LL Cool J’s Radio Public Enemy’s amazing performances I thought that was the coolest thing I ever heard or scene  and already being in music from my church days in choir and the piano being in the house Rap was something I thought I could be good at.

Share one personal event in your life that greatly influenced a song/album that you have created during your musical career.

Actually I was working on my album “Make way 4 the Dead Man”  and I had just got home from the studio and  a knock was at my door and it was my Oldest Daughter and her Grandmother my daughter  who was 16 at the time came to live with me she was a serious handful  at home and her mother said to her go live with your father so one day when she went to school one morning I watched her as she walked off and she stopped to  check her looks in a car window and I thought I remember when I was sixteen and I stated to reminisce over my teen years and  I heard my song in my head “16” and I recorded the song on my album and people tell me it’s the Best song I have done to this day.
