1. Tame Impala

Your favorite Australian Indie psychedelic rock band just released their third studio album to widespread acclaim, and it was their best-selling album yet. They will be appearing at the Austin City Limits Music Festival and touring this fall. Don’t miss out on them this season!

2. FKA Twigs

Tahliah Barnett, who performs as FKA Twigs, is quickly becoming an A-list indie star. Her first album in 2014 was released to stellar reviews, and she just released another EP this August. Barnett began her career as a dancer, making her live performances and music videos incredible experiences. You are sure to see more of her this fall.

3. Chance the Rapper

He’s collaborated with Vic Mensa and Childish Gambino, been named one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30” in the music industry, worked on multiple film projects, and given a lecture at Harvard University. Oh, and he just released an album with Lil B in August.

4. Titus Andronicus

An indie punk band known for their conceptual albums, Titus Andronicus just released an extra-length rock opera album that deals with themes like manic depression. With it, they also made a short film covering the ‘second act’ of the album. They’re some of the most ambitious artists on the indie scene today, so spend some time listening to their music this fall.

5. Filous

The 18 year old Australian DJ had over 8 million plays of his songs on Soundcloud before releasing his debut EP in July. This teenager has the potential to become a huge star, so spend some time this year getting to know his music.

6. Disclosure

This duo is set to dominate the indie electronic scene this fall. Their debut album, Settle, was a huge success, and featured the popular song “Latch” with Sam Smith. Their second album is highly anticipated, and will feature Lorde, Gregory Porter, more Sam Smith, and others. Mark your calendars for its release on September 25.

7. Julia Holter

Julia Holter is a California singer-songwriter who is set to release a new album and go on a world tour this autumn. Her unique brand of artsy pop has earned her critical recognition, and anticipation for her upcoming new release.
