We’re always looking for new ways to help promote YOUR music. Every Thursday we’ll highlight the career and the music of a SongCast artist. Check out this week’s Spotlight interview with Stacy Papa.
What’s your first musical memory?
My first musical memory was listening to Chuck Berry as a toddler with granddad.
What artist inspires you?
The greatest artist that inspired me…there are so many of them, but I have to say Angus Young AC/DC.
What’s your latest track or album?
My latest release is an EP called Doomsday Mercy.
What song or album do you HATE?
I don’t really hate any music there’s good and bad in all genres…it depends on the individual.
What’s a song or album everyone should be listening to right now?
Dark Side of the Moon – Pink Floyd; Master of Puppets, And Justice for All – Metallica.
What profession would you choose if you couldn’t choose music?
I drive B’doubles and semi’s for a living.
Tell us more about your local scene.
The Metal scene is relatively unsupporting, unless it’s a international act touring…then people come out to support.
As a performer, what would be your ‘perfect’ live experience?
Supporting Sepultura.
What aspect drew you to the particular genre of music that you now perform/write?
I love the heavy sound of a guitar melodic yet powerful rhythmic and emotional.
Share one personal event in your life that greatly influenced a song/album that you have created during your musical career.
Doomsday Mercy was created by very serious life-changing experiences throughout the years of my life. The seriousness, the ferociousness, the confusion, the struggle, the wins, the loses…from my heart and thoughts.
