This year, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is hosting the annual Summer NAMM Music Industry Day on July 11 in Nashville—and it may be the perfect opportunity for you to promote your music.
The event will give musicians, music lovers and audio pros the chance to network with industry leaders, participate in workshops, meet other musicians and check out music gear from more than 1,000 different brands.
There will be some really interesting Music Industry Day sessions and panels lined up for this year that are worth checking out—including “The Future of Audio: Harnessing the Power of MI & New Technology, Presented by Microsoft,” the “Leadership in Music Symposium Songwriter Fair Trade Panel” (which will discuss the importance of fair royalty payments and respect for intellectual property rights in today’s music industry), “Social Media Insider Tips,” and “2020 Vision: The Future of Live Performance”. This is among many other sessions that will give you some tips to boost your music career.
Aside from an opportunity to promote your music at this huge event, you also might get some inspiration from fellow music makers and music lovers. You might even find a great band to collaborate with in the future!
Tickets are $10 when purchased online in advance, and $20 at the door. The price for the Summer NAMM Music Industry Day ticket also includes entrance to the American Eagle Awards—which will feature some pretty cool musical acts, including Roseanne Cash, Charley Pride, Jack Ingram, The Oak Ridge Boys and Jim Lauderdale.
The event will be held at Nashville’s Music City Center between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on July 11th, so if you want to make connections and promote your music on a national level, this event could be the perfect summer stop for you and your band. Bring some business cards, and don’t forget to add links to your band’s social media accounts so your new connections in Nashville can check out your music.
