Hip Hop:
From Memphis, Tennessee:  Inhale some beats from SMOKE.  A prolific songwriter, Smoke has over 400 tracks available online!  Stream this Hip Hop Spotlight and check out three tracks from the release CameAlongWay.  Indie hip hop at it’s finest!

Pop:
From Detroit, Michigan:  Barbara Kiss is the type of indie artist that is so talented and writes such good songs, she could easily become one of pop’s next superstars!  This Spotlight features a song called “Catch Me.”  The video for this track is excellent!!  Watch it here!  Check out her website for more info on this indie pop powerhouse!

Blues:
From Ontario, Canada:  SONNY DEL-RIO has been cranking out blues and rock and roll for half a century!  Stream this Blues Spotlight and check out two diverse tunes from this master of the blues.  You can also look up many videos of Sonny on You Tube and check out his official website.

Country:
From Ontario, Canada:  SAMANTHA MOORE is a great example of an indie artist that is getting noticed and experiencing mainstream success.  Her music has been featured on the MTV show “The Hills” and “Laguna Beach” and one of her songs was re-cut by Miley Cyrus!  Stream this Country Spotlight and hear a few great tracks by this amazing SongCast artist.  Check out her Wikipedia page for more information.

Rock:
From Houston, Texas:  Fighting Gemini is a touring powerhouse, providing powerful yet melodic rock, with diverse dynamics and memorable tunes you will find yourself listening to again and again!

Jazz:
From London, England:  Introduce yourself to legendary jazz trumpet player PAUL SPONG.  Paul has recorded and toured with Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and The Who, just to name a few.  Paul performed at Live Aid with Elton John and George Michael and he appeared and played in the Paul McCartney Film, “Give my regards to Broad Street.”  This release, Holdin’ On, has been described as “challenging, thought provoking, and atmospheric.”

Heavy Metal:
From Messina, New York:  Expose your metallic mind to CHASING SOKARIS.  A refreshing twist on modern meta, this band is fast, grungy, and technical, with memorable hooks and a blistering rhythm section.  Crank up two tunes from the Branches EP.  You’ll be glad you did.

Comedy:
From Los Angeles, California:  Best known as Guitar Guy from The Jeff Dunham Show, Brian Haner is the father of Synyster Gates, guitarist for the metal band Avenged Sevenfold.  Brian has done session work with Frank Zappa and appeared on Comedy Central.  You must check out Brian’s comedy classic “Fistfight At The Waffle House!”  The video is a must watch.  Check it out on You Tube.

Christian/Gospel:
From Ridgeland, Mississippi:  Satisfy your soul with the uplifting melodies from Samuel Green.  Samuel is the pastor of the Remnant Church.  He started playing music in church at age 11 and has never stopped.
