  I had to replace a band member when our guitarist got really ill. It took around about 9 months to get over it (he wasn’t pregnant btw) and when he came back, we didn’t want to lose the new guitarist. SO we had two guitarists. So my advice is, don’t replace, experiment with new line up formats. Matt x
